HP Delivers Measurable Progress in Saudi Arabia Across AI Innovation, Local Manufacturing and Future Skills

New milestones build on HP’s commitments to applied AI, local production and workforce development in support of Vision 2030

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, 30 August 2026 – Today at LEAP 2026, HP (NYSE: HPQ) announced major new milestones across AI, manufacturing and education commitments it first unveiled at LEAP 2025. This progress is strengthening the Kingdom’s technology ecosystem by advancing locally developed AI solutions, scaling local production and investing in future-ready skills in support of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 ambitions.

HP AI R&D Center of Excellence Turns Investment into Innovation
First announced at LEAP 2025, the AI R&D Center of Excellence (CoE) in Dhahran has become an active innovation hub, developing practical AI solutions for Saudi organizations. Its work spans enterprise AI, Arabic AI development, applied research and local talent development.
One of the flagship solutions developed by the CoE is HP Agent One, an enterprise agentic AI solution that manages IT service requests and incidents from start to finish. HP Agent One supports Arabic language capabilities, understands requests, creates and routes tickets, resolves issues and escalates to humans where necessary. It integrates with existing enterprise systems and can run on premises to enable organizations to keep sensitive data within their own infrastructure.
FlowMaster is another HP-developed solution being advanced in Dhahran, using optical character recognition (OCR) and multimodal AI to analyze documents and automate complex administrative processes. FlowMaster can validate information and compliance, identify inconsistencies and recommend actions. By reducing processing time for procedures such as permits and citizen requests, it could help government, public-sector and regulated organizations improve efficiency.
The CoE is also collaborating with academia to support training and knowledge transfer, while developing Arabic LLM capabilities with research focusing on the Najdi dialect. The collaboration is using Saudi datasets to develop Saudi-specific use cases, including a student dropout prediction platform.
HP’s Riyadh Factory Moves into Commercial Production
Since opening in October 2025, HP’s Riyadh facility has moved into ongoing commercial manufacturing, producing and shipping locally manufactured HP products to customers in Saudi Arabia. Production is planned to continue scaling throughout 2026 in line with HP’s operational roadmap.
The facility is also strengthening local manufacturing capability and supply-chain development by growing relationships with Saudi suppliers, developing local manufacturing talent and working with government and industry partners to support the Kingdom’s localization ambitions.

Building the Skills for Saudi Arabia’s AI Economy
The HP AI Academy is HP’s new platform for AI education and capability-building programs, structured around ‘Learn AI. Lead AI. Shape AI.’ The Academy is designed to support lifelong learning, workforce readiness, AI leadership and institutional capacity-building.
HP AI Foundry is a flagship program within the AI Academy. Launched in May 2026 and available through edX, its first three courses comprise 20 modules covering AI fundamentals, AI in practice and AI in society, with no technical prerequisites. A second phase will add three courses – AI at Work, AI Strategy, and Sustainable AI – taking the program to six courses and 48 modules and extending learning into practical workplace application, strategy, governance and organizational change.
This builds on HP’s established education footprint in Saudi Arabia, where its education programs have reached 1.5 million beneficiaries through initiatives including HP Gaming Garage and the HP Cambridge EdTech Fellowship. Through its partnership with Tuwaiq Academy – part of the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming and Drones (SAFCSP) – nine training programs have been delivered, certifying more than 180 learners on practical, industry-aligned game development and emerging technology skills, helping prepare Saudi talent for future digital careers.
HP also collaborates with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), the National eLearning Center (NeLC) and Saudi Electronic University (SEU) through the FutureX platform to offer a nano degree in Design and Development of Video Games, based on HP Gaming Garage coursework, complementing other similar partnerships with the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF) and Savvy Games.
