Taiwan Excellence Showcases Advanced Industrial AI and Edge Computing Solutions at LEAP

Riyadh – A group of Taiwanese companies participating under the Taiwan Excellence pavilion at LEAP in Riyadh is showcasing a broad range of advanced industrial AI, edge computing, and smart technology solutions designed for practical deployment across smart manufacturing, digital cities, field operations, and modern infrastructure.
The pavilion brings together Taiwanese companies specializing in computing devices and systems capable of running artificial intelligence applications closer to where data is generated. This approach helps reduce latency, improve operational efficiency, and support industrial applications that require real-time data processing, computer vision, and automated control.
Among the prominent exhibitors is AAEON, which is presenting a range of products designed for industrial AI applications, including the BOXER-8629AI, an IP67-rated system developed for deployment in outdoor and demanding operating environments.
The solution is designed to support field-based AI applications that require greater durability and reliability, particularly in environments where conventional computing systems may face challenges related to heat, dust, and other external conditions.
AAEON is also showcasing the UP Xtreme i14 development board, which targets developers working in industrial automation and vision AI applications. The platform is designed to support the development and testing of prototypes before they are moved into full-scale industrial environments.
The company is also highlighting thermal design as a key element of its embedded computing solutions, with a focus on maintaining stable processor performance during continuous operation and under high computing loads, particularly in environments with elevated ambient temperatures.
Meanwhile, Advantech is presenting several solutions that combine edge computing and artificial intelligence, including the AIR-055, DS-011, and AOM-DK2721.
The DS-011 represents an ultra-slim embedded computing platform designed for continuous AI workloads while operating at a low power range of approximately 6 to 9 watts.
The AIR-055 series, meanwhile, targets computer vision applications and automated quality inspection in industrial environments, enabling organizations to integrate AI capabilities directly into production and operational processes.
Advantech is also emphasizing its Physical AI and Edge Intelligence strategies, which aim to bring artificial intelligence closer to machines, sensors, and devices operating in real-world environments.
This approach supports the development of smart manufacturing and smart city applications by connecting AI software capabilities with physical infrastructure and operational systems.
Another key area highlighted by Advantech is remote device management, which is designed to simplify the monitoring and maintenance of large numbers of edge AI devices deployed across geographically distributed locations.
